(A request poem dedicated to those that have been abused)

My Inner Child

My inner child ,as I hold you in my arms,
And rock you to and fro.
There's something I must tell you,
That I want you to know.

You trusted those around you,
As that you thought you should.
You tried to understand it all,
To withstand it as you could.

I know my child what you endured,
So innocent and sweet.
How fear would grip your heart,
When someone you did meet.

But our Father did sustain you,
Because He loved you so.
For all the pain and suffering,
That no one seemed to know.

Remember you were not to blame,
For what happened in the past.
Let's now dry and wipe your tears,
Because you're free at last!
